Ismael Zamora granted with the 2010 Hansch Award

Ismael Zamora, member of the computer-assisted drug design laboratory of  GRIB (IMIM/ UPF) has been granted with the 2010 Hansch Award givenby the prestigious Cheminformatics and QSAR Society. This is the second time that this award is given to a member of our Programme because Jordi Mestres, head of Chemogenomics laboratory of GRIB was awarded with it in 2006.

The International QSAR Society was founded in 1989, at a QSAR Gordon Conference in Tilton, New Hampshire, U.S.A. At the 1995 QSAR Gordon Conference, the title of the Society was changed to The QSAR and Modelling Society and in 2007, the Board decided to change the name to The Cheminformatics and QSAR Society.  This change takes into account a strong worldwide support for Cheminformatics as well as the history of the society and the interest of its current members in furthering the field of QSAR.
