The MSc Bioinformatics for Health Sciences starts in November

We are pleased to announce the start of the second edition of the MSc Bioinformatics for Health Sciences, in November 2005, a master promoted by the Research Unit on Biomedical Informatics (IMIM/UPF/PRBB) and the Molecular Recognition & Bioinformatics Group (UB/PCB).

In this new edition, the contents of the master have been clustered into modules, giving the possibility of subscription to each one of them individually, adapting to a wide variety of backgrounds (both academic and professional) and interests of the students.

The structure of the master consists in five basic modules (that include the development of short practical projects along the duration of each one) and three support modules.

The main modules are the following: Genome Bioinformatics; Structural Bioinformatics; Systems Biology; Pharmainformatics; and Biomedical Informatics.

All the master students devote the second year to an individualised research project under the supervision of an expert in the field.
