Web-application developer position at the PhI group

Job Offer:

A position is available for the development of scientific software, at the PharmacoInformatics (PhI) group led by Manuel Pastor at GRIB (IMIM-UPF) in Barcelona. The candidate will assist in the development of the frontend (graphic interface) of scientific software, integrated in a team of scientist and international experts from industrial and academic institutions, in the context of European projects in the areas of in silico toxicology.

General description:

She/he will collaborate in the design and development of the graphic interfaces for web applications facilitating the access to scientific software. The work will be carried out tightly integrated in a team of young scientist, collaborating to produce state-of-the-art scientific software, in research projects funded by the European Union. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple partners of an international consortium, involving some of the best toxicity experts in Europe, multinational industries in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and consumer chemicals.

Skills and Experience

  • High School Certificate (preferably oriented to Sciences)
  • Good English level (B2 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of web application development (JS, Angular).
  • Knowledge of Python and Django.

We will valuate:

  • Experience in the development of scientific applications.
  • Experience in programming using chemoinformatic libraries like RDKit or CDK.

Benefits of the opening: Part-time position for 6 months, with a yearly gross salary around 18.500 eur.
