  • The GRIB is currently organized in nine research groups.

    In addition to the scientific personnel, the GRIB has a management office with three project managers, two IT managers and an  specialist in technology transfer.

    Ferran Sanz is the Director of GRIB.

  • Biomedical Genomics

    Led by Núria López-Bigas and dedicated at the computational study of cancer at genomic level.

  • Computional Biophysics

    Led by Gianni de Fabritiis and devoted to the development and use of modeling and simulation methods to understand biophysical phenomena.

  • Computational RNA Biology

    Led by Eduardo Eyras and focused on the development of computational predictive models for the study of RNA biology.

  • Evolutionary Genomics

    Led by M. Mar Albà and focused on the use of comparative genomics and large-scale data analysis.

  • Functional Genomics

    Led by Robert Castelo aim at contributing to narrow the gap between sequence and function by developing computational tools.

  • Integrative Biomedical Informatics

    Led by Laura I. Furlong and Ferran Sanz and dedicated to the generation and execution of research initiatives for the solution of biomedical problems.

  • PharmacoInformatics

    Led by Manuel Pastor and focused on the development and application of computational methodologies in the area of drug design.

  • Structural Bioinformatics

    Led by Baldo Oliva and dedicated to the analysis and modelling of protein 3D structures, as well as these of macromolecular interactions.

  • Systems Pharmacology

    Led by Jordi Mestres and dedicated to the development of computational tools for the systematic identification of active molecules for therapeutically relevant target famílies.
